Amorim APPROVES Man Utd and Chelsea swap despite Garnacho stance
Despite asserting that he wants to keep Alejandro Garnacho, Ruben Amorim is keen to work with Christopher Nkunku, according to a report.
One of the biggest transfer sagas of the January window looks to be going right down to the wire as talks remain ongoing between Man Utd and Chelsea over Garnacho.
The Blues want the Argentine and Man Utd are reluctantly willing to sanction his departure should a club put €70 million on the table, although Chelsea may have to pay a premium given that they are direct Premier League competitors.

However, the West London club are keen to drive Garnacho's price down and have so far watched developments mostly from a distance despite making frequent checks on the 20-year-old and staying in contact.
Garnacho is also a top target for Napoli, but the Serie A giants appear to have admitted defeat and are now pursuing other options as they, too, are unwilling to spend €70m.
Chelsea-Man Utd swap deal still on
TEAMtalk now provides an update on the situation and claims that a potential swap deal between Man Utd and Chelsea is still alive, with the Red Devils interested in forward Christopher Nkunku, who has also been given a €70m price tag.
It is asserted that head coach Ruben Amorim is keen to work with the Frenchman as he believes that he would fit his style of play perfectly and it seems that he would be prepared to sacrifice Garnacho.

This is despite the fact that he repeatedly stated his intention to keep the Argentine following Man Utd's 2-0 Europa League win over Romanian side FCSB. "He's improving and we want to continue to improve with him. I want Garnacho,” Amorim said.
Nkunku is known to be keen to quit Chelsea in search of regular game time. Regarding Garnacho, the report states that he is also open to a potential move as the idea of playing and living in London holds appeal, although he is not desperate to leave Man Utd.
Negotiations are expected to ramp up in the final days of the window.
