Earlier on Friday, it was revealed that West Ham United had opened talks for the Netherlands international. In addition to the Hammers, Tottenham Hotspur are now also in the race for the signature of the 22-year-old attacker, reports Fabrizio Romano.

Moreover, GIVEMESPORT claims that Brobbey has been 'offered' to Man Utd by his representatives, with the player previously revealing that joining the Red Devils would be a dream come true.

Brobbey was frequently linked with Man Utd during Erik ten Hag's reign at Old Trafford. During the last January window, some reports all but guaranteed that he would move to Manchester only for the striker to stay in Amsterdam.

At present, Ajax do not intend to simply cooperate with a departure and are asking for a considerable amount of money from his suitors.

However, it looks as though the Dutch international will leave Ajax for a second time. After Brobbey made a short-lived free transfer sojourn to RB Leipzig in 2021, the Premier League is now beckoning.

Brobbey expected to move to England

West Ham see the attacker as an ideal solution, now that Michail Antonio and Niclas Fullkrug are out of action for the foreseeable future. The Hammers initially hoped for a loan deal with an option to buy.

However, Ajax rebuffed the approach and would only accept a deal if it were to include a purchase obligation.

Both clubs are currently busy negotiating a transfer for Brobbey, who according to some sources has already reached a personal agreement with West Ham despite the fact that recruitment chief Tim Steidten looks set to leave the club.

In the meantime, Tottenham have reached out to Brobbey as well. The club of Ange Postecoglou are also considering a loan deal with Ajax but has several irons in the fire. Whether Tottenham Hotspur will actually make an offer for Brobbey remains to be seen.

Tottenham, currently just 15th in the Premier League, are experiencing a disastrous season. Only eight points separate Spurs from the relegation zone.

Partly due to a knee injury of striker Dominic Solanke, the arrival of a new center forward is top priority in north London.

Brobbey transferred from RB Leipzig back to Ajax in 2022 for a fee of €16.35 million. At the time, there were reports of various bonuses, which could increase the transfer fee to a maximum of €20m.
