The first 'moves' of the winter window have been mainly about securing what is already in place, with Harry Maguire having his one-year extension triggered while Amad Diallo penned fresh terms.

Diego Leon signs today

According to Fabrizio Romano, everything is going to plan regarding the signing of Paraguayan wonderkid Diego Leon. The left-back is in Manchester today to complete his medical, sign his contract and fulfil his media duties.

However, the 17-year-old will not be eligible to play for the Red Devils until he turns 18, which means that he will return to Paraguay and his club Cerro Porteno shortly.

Tyrell Malacia could leave

A player who could make way for Leon is Erik ten Hag signing Tyrell Malacia. Romano has also reported on the Dutchman today, revealing that he could leave the club this month.

Man Utd are open to a permanent or loan departure of Malacia, although the transfer expert played down the recent links with Cesc Fabregas' Serie A side Como.

Alejandro Garnacho eyed by Napoli

With Khvicha Kvaratskhelia looking increasingly likely to join PSG, Napoli are scouring the market for a replacement. One name under consideration is Man Utd star Alejandro Garnacho.

David Ornstein previously reported that the Argentine is no longer considered 'untouchable' due to Man Utd's desire to raise 'pure profit' amid concerns about the Premier League's Profit and Sustainability Rules.

Bayern not keen on Kobbie Mainoo

Ornstein also named Kobbie Mainoo as a potential source of 'pure profit,' which swiftly gave rise to worrying links with Chelsea. More recently, Bayern Munich were named among his suitors.

However, according to Sky Germany, there is nothing to this rumour. Bayern Munich are not interested in Mainoo and are not planning to pounce on his potential availability as things stand.

Randal Kolo Muani latest

Man Utd continue to be linked with PSG outcast Randal Kolo Muani. Head coach Luis Enrique was quizzed about the Frenchman after omitting him against Saint-Etienne at the weekend and gave a bizarre response.

“I don’t know. For me, the transfer window is more like the market for fruit, fish and bread. I’ve got nothing to say,” the Spaniard insisted.

According to Ben Jacobs, Man Utd are currently not the favourites to sign Kolo Muani due to PSG demanding a loan with an obligation to buy and still valuing him at close to €60 million.

Victor Osimhen transfer unlikely

Jacobs also confirmed that Man Utd dream of signing Victor Osimhen but that an actual deal is difficult to realise despite his price dropping to €75m.

Osimhen also hasn't changed his stance from the summer. His next transfer needs to be a permanent one, which means that Man Utd are highly unlikely to make a move this month.

Nene Dorgeles enquiry

Man Utd have enquired about RB Salzburg winger Nene Dorgeles, according to Fabrizio Romano. The 22-year-old has been added to the club's shortlist.

Primarily a left-winger, Dorgeles has notched six goals and six assists in 27 appearances across all competitions so far this season. Man Utd have yet to decide whether to open formal negotiations this month or in the summer.
