Man Utd Transfer News Today: Garnacho AGREEMENT, Dorgu OFFER and Osimhen BID
All the latest Manchester United transfer news and rumours today (Tuesday January 21), including the latest on Patrick Dorgu, Antony, Marcus Rashford and much more.
Garnacho AGREES Napoli terms as exit moves closer
Alejandro Garnacho has agreed personal terms with Napoli, who will now try and negotiate a deal with Manchester United.
Nicolo Schira reports on Tuesday that Garnacho has reached an agreement with Napoli over personal terms. He has said yes to a contract until 2029 with the option for a further year until 2030.
There is still some way to go, though, to complete the deal as Napoli must agree a transfer fee with Man Utd.
Patrick Dorgu deal accelerates
Ruben Amorim could complete his first major signing as Manchester United head coach “within hours” according to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Italian paper states that the Red Devils have made contact with Lecce over Patrick Dorgu and a deal could be closed quickly for the Denmark international star, who can play anywhere down the left side.
Dorgu, who has also been linked with Chelsea and Napoli, is set to replace Alejandro Garnacho, who is poised to leave to join Antonio Conte’s Serie A leaders, who will return with an improved bid for the Argentine.
Antony to Real Betis is a done deal – Fabrizio Romano
Man Utd’s first major transfer of the January window has been announced by Fabrizio Romano, who says that Antony’s move to Real Betis on loan has been completed.
The Brazilian international winger has failed to start a single game this season and Ruben Amorim is now prepared to ship him out.
Taking to X, the football transfer news reporter said: “Antony to Real Betis, here we go! Verbal agreement in place between all parties with Man United too.
“Documents being checked; then time for travel and medical tests. United will let him leave on loan deal with no buy clause. He’ll be formally back to United in June.”
While Man Utd will pay the bulk of the player’s wages, a special clause has been inserted into the deal to ensure the Red Devils get value for money.
Shock Saudi Pro League bid
Man Utd have been tipped to turn their attentions towards Al-Ahli forward Ivan Toney in a bid to solve their offensive woes this season.
Toney has become something of a forgotten man since he left to join the Saudi Pro League side in the summer and a return of four goals in 12 league matches represents an unspectacular return for the 28-year-old.
Ben Jacobs, however, reports that Man Utd could be ready to bring the striker home.
“I would still just keep, in the back pocket if you like, an eye on Ivan Toney,” Jacobs said.
“That’s because we know that Manchester United have looked [at him] in the past. There’s nothing to suggest yet that Toney’s chapter in Saudi is going to come to an end, and I certainly wouldn’t want to fuel the belief that Manchester United are active on it yet.
“But I hear from a lot of sources that come the summer or maybe even January 2026 that the Toney situation is going to be one to watch.”
Osimhen offer revealed
Manchester United continue to try to sign Victor Osimhen from Napoli and have even been in Turkey to discuss a deal with the striker, where he is playing on loan at Galatasaray, according to journalist Kagan Dursun.
Osimhen, though, is determined to remain with the Super Lig side until the end of the season.
Man Utd get hijack hope as Kolo Muani blunder made
Randal Kolo Muani has continually been linked with the Red Devils since the start of the transfer window, and due to an embarrassing oversight from PSG, the France international No.9 may yet wind up playing at Old Trafford.
In one of the biggest blunders in January transfer history, Kolo Muani’s loan move to Juventus has broken down.
