Man Utd Transfer News Today: Rashford D-DAY, Spurs WANT Garnacho, new €40m TARGET
All the latest Manchester United transfer news and rumours, including the latest on Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho and a new transfer target.
Marcus Rashford demands AC Milan move
Marcus Rashford’s agent and brother has been in talks with leading officials at Man Utd in order to demand that he is allowed to join AC Milan.
Numerous sources in Italy have reported that the England international winger is seeking to force through a move to the Serie A side, having previously indicated his desire for a “new challenge” away from Ruben Amorim’s side.
Milan are also in talks to sign Kyle Walker from Manchester City, but due to Serie A regulations, they can only sign one or other due to their non-EU status.
Garnacho wanted by Tottenham
Alejandro Garnacho is subject to transfer interest from Premier League rivals Tottenham, with the highly rated winger one of the players who could depart Old Trafford before the end of the month.
FootballTransfers has exclusively learned that the North London side could be prepared to pay up to €70 million for the winger, who was signed by the Red Devils from Atletico Madrid for less than €500,000.
Spurs see the attacker as a long-term replacement for Son Heung-min, though they have yet to make an official approach.
Napoli are one of the other clubs linked with a move for Garnacho, with Diego Maradona’s influence drawing the 20-year-old towards the Serie A side, according to reports from Italy.
Three up for sale amid PSR fears
Man Utd are ready to sell Kobbie Mainoo, Rashford and Garnacho in order to fight off a brewing PSR crisis, according to reports in The Telegraph.
Officials at Old Trafford are fearful that the Red Devils may trigger a punishment next term after substantial losses in each of the last two seasons.
Man Utd owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe wants to avoid the prospect of a summer fire sale of top ‘pure profit’ players who have come through the academy, and so the trio will be seriously considered for sales before the end of the transfer window should suitable offers arrive.
Make Bellingham move, United told
Former Manchester United star Dwight Yorke has told the Red Devils to spend big to sign Jude Bellingham from Real Madrid and send a message to their Premier League in the process.
In quotes relayed by the MEN: “Man United would need £150 million to have a chance of signing Jude Bellingham. Look at Man United's history, every two to three years, the club would bring in a high-profile signing. I can't remember the last big signing Man United have made, maybe Zlatan Ibrahimovic in 2016. Man United need to make rivals go 'oof, what a signing'.
“They need to break the bank for a big-time player, like Real Madrid do. Bellingham would be the perfect player to sign, but I'm sure he'll want to stay a few more years at Real Madrid and turn things around for them this season. But, Bellingham will never be the main guy at the club now, Vinicius Jr and Kylian Mbappe are higher than him in the pecking order. It reminds me of the trio of Zinedine Zidane, Ronaldo and Luis Figo.
“We all know Mbappe is the top guy at the club, then it's Vinicius. I think Bellingham is ranked the third-most important player at Real Madrid. He'll know that too, he'll be sat in the dressing room with them and he knows where he is in that hierarchy at the club.”
Zion Suzuki: Man Utd eye €40m goalkeeper
Manchester United are one of a number of clubs eyeing a potential move for Parma goalkeeper Zion Suzuki, according to TalkSport.
Suzuki was considered by the Red Devils in the summer of 2023 but instead they moved for Andre Onana amid a scramble to replace David de Gea, who had unexpectedly departed the club.
Parma want to retain the services of the keeper for at least one more season, but it is claimed that a big-money offer from United could lead to them changing their stance.
The Serie A side paid Sint-Truiden €10m for the 22-year-old Japan international last summer. He is under contract until 2029.
Real Betis agree to take Antony… on one condition
Antony will be off to LaLiga to play for Real Betis – assuming that Man Utd agree to pay more than half the wages of the Brazil international winger, TalkSport reports.
The former Ajax star is on an estimated €237,000 per week, with the Red Devils poised to pay much of that if they are to finally end the misery of the attacker, who has struggled to live up to his €95m transfer fee.
