Nypan has found himself much hyped in recent weeks, with the 18-year-old midfielder linked to a number of Premier League sides.

The rumours over his future intensified last weekend as he was spotted making a whistlestop tour around several Premier League grounds. He took in matches at Arsenal, Aston Villa and Manchester City, and his father has now all but confirmed the interest of these clubs in the youngster.

“The reason we did this is because there has been a lot of interest,” Arne Nypan, Sverre’s father, confirmed to Adresseavisen.

“We have had conversations with several clubs, both on the phone and via Teams. Now we thought it was the right time to go and visit the relevant clubs.”

While no team names were divulged, the interest of Arsenal and Aston Villa has been no secret. Nypan’s visit to Manchester City to watch Pep Guardiola’s side face Chelsea, meanwhile, is likely to have been driven by interest from City Football Group side Girona.

Nypan, who is represented by Rafaela Pimenta, could follow the career path of another of her clients, Erling Haaland. His compatriot took several small steps at Red Bull Salzburg and Borussia Dortmund before completing a big move to City, and Arne says his son could take a similar approach.

“The most important thing for Sverre is that he actually feels wanted and does not become a pawn in a game because he happens to be a young talent with potentially great value,” he said.

Nypan transfer decision soon

Furthermore, the Rosenborg youngster is unlikely to have this saga dragged out much longer.

When Arne was asked when a final decision will be made, he replied: “Preferably before the weekend.”

Arsenal, Aston Villa and Man City should, therefore, know Nypan’s destination sooner rather than later.
