CONFIRMED: Chelsea consider summer move for Aaron Ramsdale

Chelsea are considering a summer move for Southampton goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale, FootballTransfers has been told.
The England international was linked with a Stamford Bridge switch last year, but he eventually joined Southampton for €21.4 million after losing his place in Arsenal’s starting XI to David Raya.
However, FootballTransfers understands that Chelsea have internally discussed the possibility of rekindling their interest in Ramsdale ahead of the 2025 summer transfer window as they look to sign a new goalkeeper.

Southampton are currently rock bottom of the Premier League table, having only picked up nine points from 26 matches, and they are expected to succumb to an immediate relegation back to the Championship.
Ramsdale, however, is eager to remain in the top flight of English football and Chelsea are pondering a summer pursuit amid their current goalkeeper woes.
Robert Sanchez began the campaign as Enzo Maresca’s preferred shot-stopper, but he was replaced by Filip Jorgensen following a high-profile error during Chelsea’s 3-1 defeat to Manchester City in January.

Meanwhile, Jorgensen, who arrived from Villarreal last summer, was at fault for Marco Asensio’s winner against Aston Villa on Saturday evening, and Chelsea are set to reassess their goalkeeper situation this summer.
In addition to Sanchez and Jorgensen, the Blues also have Djordje Petrovic (Strasbourg) and Kepa Arrizabalaga (Bournemouth) out on loan, while KRC Genk wonderkid Mike Penders will arrive at the club in July.
Despite the plethora of options at Stamford Bridge, FootballTransfers understands that Chelsea are interested in a potential summer move for Ramsdale.
Aaron Ramsdale to Chelsea?
Ramsdale has 171 Premier League appearances under his belt and Chelsea are strongly considering launching a pursuit this summer, although formal negotiations are yet to begin.
The former Arsenal goalkeeper has just over three years remaining on his current contract at Southampton, while his Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) stands at €24.3m.
