Liam Delap has insisted that he remains happy at Ipswich Town, despite significant transfer interest from Chelsea.
The England U21 international has enjoyed a fantastic debut season at Portman Road and his form so far this campaign has attracted the attention of multiple top Premier League clubs, including Arsenal and Manchester United.
Chelsea, however, are currently leading the race for his signature and Enzo Maresca’s side are expected to ramp up negotiations for Delap shortly as they look to sign a new centre forward this summer.

Nicolas Jackson has failed to score in each of his last eight Premier League matches, while Christopher Nkunku is best in a slightly deeper role and Marc Guiu is largely untested at the highest level.
As a result, Chelsea are set to sign a new striker when the 2025 summer transfer window opens, and Delap is one of their priority targets, along with Victor Osimhen and Benjamin Sesko.
However, the 22-year-old has insisted that he is focused on succeeding at Ipswich and is eager to block out rumours of a summer move to Stamford Bridge.

What has Liam Delap said?
Speaking to reporters ahead of Ipswich’s clash against Aston Villa on Saturday, Delap was asked how he is managing to ignore significant transfer speculation.
“It’s engrained in us as footballers,” Delap admitted (as per the East Anglian Daily Times). “It’s so important, especially for me, to focus on where I’m at now.
“I’m so happy here, I’m enjoying it so much here. I just look forward to playing football. I take every game as it comes and focus on the next.
“It [the media speculation] is something that I try and stay away from. People around me have told me to stay away from it, it’s something that I’m very good at focusing on what I want to do. That’s playing football here.”
Delap continued: “I’m really enjoying my time here and I enjoy playing every week. That’s the most important thing.
“We know, as players and people, that there is noise. If we have a bad game and people are slating us for not performing or getting the right results, we stay focused on ourselves and what we have to achieve.”
