Romano announces new contract that changes everything for Man Utd
Fabrizio Romano has indicated that a world star has signed a new contract in a decision that changes everything for Manchester United.
Ruben Amorim’s side were slow to act in the January transfer window and only added Patrick Dorgu to their ranks from Lecce.

A more extensive transfer overhaul is anticipated for the summer, but one of the players who Amorim would have liked to have built his team around has made a decision that has forced the Man Utd head coach to reassess his plans.
PSG left-back Nuno Mendes had been heavily linked with Man Utd around the previous transfer window.
Rumours over this deal were fuelled by the 22-year-old Portugal international stalling on a new deal with the Ligue 1 leaders. The former Sporting CP star, though, has finally committed to the Parc des Princes side in the long term, according to Romano.

“Nuno Mendes has signed new deal at Paris Saint-Germain!” Romano reports on X.
“New contract valid for the next 5 years, verbally agreed in December and now signed with announcement to follow.
“Nuno will be among top earners at PSG with salary improved and longer deal.”
What does this mean for Man Utd?
Nuno Mendes was the absolute dream target for Amorim, but there was an acceptance that prising him from PSG would be a difficult challenge given the position that Man Utd find themselves in.
Although Dorgu has been signed, it may well be that United are after another left-back in the summer given the chronic lack of cover that has left Diogo Dalot filling in for much of the season.
Luke Shaw continues to battle constant injury issues while Tyrell Malacia, though back on the field, has been loaned away for the second half of the season and appears just as unreliable physically as the England star.
While Nuno Mendes has slipped away for Man Utd and Amorim, other tracks will now be more seriously studied.
