Liverpool going all out for Warren Zaire-Emery

Liverpool are keeping tabs on the situation of Warren Zaire-Emery, PSG’s 18-year-old midfield star.

The Frenchman signed a contract until 2029 last season. However, Liverpool have been in contact with his agent Jorge Mendes and there is a belief among the club's recruitment team that they will be able to turn his head.

Liverpool's recruitment team, including Michael Edwards and Julian Ward, have a good relationship with Mendes which could be help get the deal over the line.

It is understood Zaire-Emery is happy in Paris. His girlfriend, Oceane Toussaint, plays for PSG's women's team as a goalkeeper. However, he is open to a new challenge and to venture out of his comfort zone.

The possibility of joining Liverpool is an alluring prospect for the young midfielder. He has already held talks with Ibrahima Konate about a potential move to Merseyside.

The perfect build for Slot’s midfield

Liverpool hugely admire Zaire-Emery. The club's recruitment team sees him as the perfect option for Arne Slot's style of play. He's both technically gifted, and he covers a lot of ground.

This season he has covered 12.5km per 90 minutes for PSG in the Champions League. His total distance covered is 75km in the competition, which is higher than Ryan Gravenberch, who leads Liverpool in the metric with 72km.

Still only 18 years old, he has remarkably already played over 100 games for PSG and broke a record in the Champions League, becoming the youngest player ever to start a game in a knock-out game at 16 years and 343 days.

Liverpool believe he is one of the biggest prospects in world football and that is why the club are ready to pay whatever it takes to sign him. Even above his current Estimated Transfer Valuation (ETV) of €65m.
