Manchester City are targeting Bayer Leverkusen pair Florian Wirtz and Jeremie Frimpong in another €200 million spending spree, according to a report.
The Cityzens were the world's biggest spenders during the January transfer fee, splashing a scarcely believable €218m on five new recruits to help Pep Guardiola rectify a poor season and build for the future.
Eintracht Frankfurt sensation Omar Marmoush became the club's most expensive January recruit ever, joining for up to €75m, while Nico Gonzalez arrived for €60m from Porto to replace injured Ballon d'Or winner Rodri.

Finally, young defenders Abdukodir Khusanov, Vitor Reis and Juma Bah were also brought in, although the latter immediately headed to RC Lens on loan to replace Khusanov.
Man City's comfortable position with regards to the Premier League's Profit and Sustainability Rules enabled them to splash the cash and it seems that Guardiola's rebuild is far from done.

Man City eye Wirtz and Frimpong
According to CaughtOffside, Man City are targeting a summer raid on reigning Bundesliga champions Bayer Leverkusen for Florian Wirtz and Jeremie Frimpong.
Man City have several ageing attacking midfielders on their books, so a move for Wirtz, who is valued at at least €150m, makes sense. However, the outlet makes no mention of the fact that the German international is thought to be close to extending his Leverkusen contract.

As for Frimpong, he has a €40m release clause and has been keen on a move for the best part of two years. He was previously on the books at City but never made a competitive appearance for the first team.
A right wing-back by trade, Frimpong has been transformed into more of a traditional winger by Xabi Alonso, but there would be question marks over his suitability to Guardiola's system. There is a clear need for a right-back at City, but Frimpong is more of an attacker than a defender at this point.
