Man Utd make €70m Osimhen transfer 'TOP PRIORITY' for summer

Manchester United have outlined their ‘primary target’ for the summer, with Ruben Amorim looking to spend big to bring in a world class forward to improve the team’s fortunes.
United sit 15th having won just four Premier League games since Amorim’s arrival in November and only four teams have scored fewer goals than the Red Devils this season.

The club are preparing to make wholesale changes to the squad this summer, however United’s ongoing battle with PSR means they are operating under tight constraints.
With United having signed wing-back Patrick Dorgu in January, the immediate focus is expected to shift towards the front line and GIVEMESPORT claim that Victor Osimhen will be the club’s number one target for the summer.
The Nigerian is currently on loan at Galatasaray and is expected to be sold by Napoli, although the Italian side are likely to demand a fee of around €70 million.
However, Osimhen’s salary is proving to be a stumbling block and the move will be dependent on the 26-year-old taking slashing his wages of more than €250,000-per-week in order to fit into the structure at Old Trafford.

United ready to sacrifice Gyokeres for Osimhen
United are understood to be pushing Osimhen with Chelsea positioning themselves to move for Amorim’s former hotshot at Sporting in Viktor Gyokeres, leaving the Portuguese boss ‘unconcerned’ as his new side focus on their preferred option.
The club are also allegedly more likely to move for Ipswich frontman Liam Delap over Gyokeres if Osimhen proves unattainable due to his age being more suited to United’s profile.
With Joshua Zirkzee and Rasmus Hojlund having just five Premier League goals between them this season, Amorim is desperate for more fire power, although it may require one of his misfiring duo to leave first.
There is interest in both players but Hojlund could be the most feasible option to be sold, although United are unlikely to recoup the €74m they paid for the 22-year-old in 2023.
United chiefs are believed to be keen on signing an experienced and proven goalscorer and are aware that it will still take a big financial package to sign Osimhen even if he agrees to lower his wage demands.
The Premier League giants are banking on windfalls from the potential sales of Marcus Rashford, Tyrell Malacia and Antony to help fund any spending in the summer as they aim to bounce back from a disastrous campaign so far.
