On-loan Chelsea winger Jadon Sancho has issued a dig at Manchester United following Marcus Rashford’s debut for Aston Villa.
Rashford, 27, was frozen out by Ruben Amorim in late 2024 and he joined Villa on loan during the January transfer window, with Man Utd eager to offload him before the end of Deadline Day.
The former England international made his debut for Unai Emery’s side versus Tottenham Hotspur in the FA Cup fourth round on Sunday evening and he enjoyed a productive first appearance for the club.

Rashford was energetic during his 24-minute cameo at Villa Park and he showed flashes of class against Ange Postecoglou’s side, including a neat nutmeg on Spurs right-back Pedro Porro.
After the match, Rashford posted on Instagram with a caption that read: “Thank you for the warm welcome. Great team performance.”
In the comments section, Sancho issued a major dig at Man Utd with a reply of: “Freedom”, hinting that Rashford has escaped from the shackles of Old Trafford.

The 24-year-old is still technically employed by the Red Devils, although his loan move to Chelsea will become permanent for a reported fee of €30 million this summer.
Like Rashford, Sancho was also frozen out at Old Trafford, with the ex-Borussia Dortmund star losing his first-team place under Erik ten Hag.
What has been said about Marcus Rashford?
Following Rashford’s debut against Tottenham, Aston Villa star Jacob Ramsey insisted the current roster of attacking stars must step up to keep their place in Emery’s preferred starting XI.
“I think this is probably one of the best squads that we’ve had, you see the bench with all the experience coming on, with Malen starting, Rashford and Asensio coming on,” he told BBC Sport.
“The squad depth is unbelievable and the starting players have got to raise their game now because the players who are coming on are a big threat."
