Both Man Utd and Chelsea will have a very busy end to the January transfer window as talks over several deals remain ongoing. The former have already offloaded Antony and are close to sending Marcus Rashford on loan to Aston Villa.

The Red Devils want to replace Rashford but a deal for Mathys Tel has collapsed in the space of two hours after the youngster initially agreed to the move. Christopher Nkunku and Leon Bailey remain options for the Manchester giants.

Yet, despite already offloading two wingers, Man Utd continue to face the threat of losing fan favourite Alejandro Garnacho as well. Chelsea have been courting him all window and Man Utd need the money, especially after signing Dorgu for €35 million.

Supporters would hate to see the Argentine leave and head coach Ruben Amorim has also repeatedly insisted in recent days that he is desperate to keep Garnacho.

Romano drops Garnacho update

It therefore comes as good news for everyone of a Man Utd persuasion that Chelsea have yet to enter formal talks with the Red Devils over the 20-year-old despite fewer than 48 hours remaining until the deadline.

According to Fabrizio Romano, there has been little movement to speak of on the Garnacho front of late. As things stand, it would be no surprise to see the youngster remain with Man Utd beyond the current transfer window.

"There is interest from Chelsea, but at the moment, there are still no advanced negotiations club-to-club," Romano told GIVEMESPORT. "Let's see if Chelsea will decide to do something last-minute. But as of now, while we are recording, there is still no proposal, so there is still a chance for him to stay."
