Slot favourite reveals Chelsea offer and makes Liverpool admission

Feyenoord full-back Quilindschy Hartman has revealed that he's now an avid follower of Liverpool after being pursued by Chelsea in 2024.
The 23-year-old had the world at his feet last year as he was starring for Arne Slot's Dutch giants in the 2023/24 season. In January 2024, the Blues registered their interest in Hartman and held talks over signing him.
Feyenoord did not want to sell him in the winter and Hartman himself was not too keen on a switch mid-season either as he was playing regularly and in the frame for a spot in the Dutch team at Euro 2024.

It would have been a different story in the summer, with both player and club open to a transfer at the right price, but this ultimately never materialised as Hartman suffered a serious knee injury in February.
He was sidelined for almost a full year, missing the Euros and not getting his big transfer. He only recently returned to the pitch and has featured in Feyenoord's last three Eredivisie games.

Hartman now follows Liverpool
Speaking to Voetbal International, Hartman has once again confirmed that Chelsea were keen on him and revealed that he is now an avid follower of Liverpool, who could soon be in the market for a long-term Andy Robertson replacement.
“It’s true that Chelsea wanted me, but of course that didn’t happen because of my knee," the 23-year-old said. "Too bad, emotionally it would have been a club for me, but it’s not like I’m still losing sleep over it. Things go as they go and playing for Feyenoord is never a punishment.

“I mainly follow the Premier League now because of Liverpool, because Arne and [assistant] Sipke [Hulshof] work there. I played under Sipke with Feyenoord Under-21 at all kinds of amateur clubs in front of a handful of spectators and then I see him now walk to the fourth official in a top match
"That makes me laugh. I know what Sipke is like: not impressed. He treats everyone the same whether you’re Virgil van Dijk or a youth player at Feyenoord. That’s why I like Sipke so much.”
