Man Utd prepare MEGA Victor Osimhen swap deal bid

Manchester United are reportedly preparing a swap deal offer for Victor Osimhen as they look to beat Chelsea and Galatasaray in the race for his signature this summer.

Osimhen, 26, is expected to leave Napoli on a permanent deal once his loan spell at Galatasaray ends in June and Man Utd have emerged as serious candidates to sign him amid Ruben Amorim’s push to acquire a new centre forward.

The Red Devils are also interested in signing Sporting CP star Viktor Gyokeres, but they are set to step up their pursuit of Osimhen over the next few weeks.

In fact, TBR Football have reported that Man Utd could offer Alejandro Garnacho and Rasmus Hojlund in exchange for Osimhen this summer.

Napoli were eager to sign Garnacho as a replacement for Khvicha Kvaratskhelia in January and they could be handed the ideal opportunity to land the Argentine this summer.

Man Utd are also interested in including Hojlund in a possible deal for Osimhen amid his recent struggles at Old Trafford.

The Denmark international has only scored 23 goals in 74 appearances since his €73.9 million move from Atalanta and he has failed to find the back of the net in each of his last 14 games.

Victor Osimhen to be involved in a summer swap deal?

Napoli are reportedly open to a player exchange involving Garnacho and Hojlund, although Man Utd will face competition from the likes of Arsenal, Aston Villa and Newcastle United in the race to sign Osimhen this summer.

Chelsea are also long-term admirers of the Nigeria star, but their attention has seemingly turned to Ipswich Town’s Liam Delap.

However, the Blues could feasibly offer a number of outcasts to Napoli this summer, including Carney Chukwuemeka, Joao Felix, Ben Chilwell and Axel Disasi, if they opt to pursue a player-plus-cash swap deal for Osimhen.

The 26-year-old has 17 goals and five assists in 23 matches for Galatasaray so far this season, while his Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) currently stands at €67.2m.
