The Sweden international is set to be involved in a major transfer battle during the 2025 summer window and he is widely expected to leave Sporting after two years at the club.

Gyokeres has scored 77 goals in 83 appearances for the Portuguese giants and he has been linked with a number of elite European clubs following his immense form since leaving Coventry City.

The 26-year-old reportedly has a €100 million release clause in his current contract at Sporting, although some rumours have suggested that this has been lowered to €70m ahead of the upcoming summer window.

However, Spanish outlet Fichajes have now claimed that Gyokeres will be allowed to leave Sporting if they receive an offer of just €60m.

Gyokeres has three-and-a-half years remaining on his current deal with Rui Borges’ side and his Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) stands at a whopping €75m. But, he will reportedly be sold if Sporting’s €60m asking price is matched.

Fichajes state that Arsenal, Barcelona and Man Utd are all interested in signing the Sweden star this summer, while Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain have previously been touted as possible destinations.

Man Utd to sign Viktor Gyokeres this summer?

Man Utd were expected to sign a new striker during the January transfer window, but they were unable to finalise an agreement with any of their targets and are now expected to revisit their pursuit of Gyokeres this summer.

When asked why his side failed to bring a centre forward to the club, Ruben Amorim told reporters: “What I feel is the club is taking its time, we know the urgency of the moment.

“But I think everybody here doesn't want to make the same mistakes we did in the past, we have to improve the players we have, win some games, in summer we will see. We are being really careful on transfers because we made some mistakes in the past.

“At the moment it is hard to turn things around in a few games, it is going to be like that, hard, until the end of the season. We are taking that risk because we want a different thing in our team, different profile, that is my area, so my decision on that.

“We will have time to train. I am always complaining. Now we want a certain type of player with a different profile.”
