Arsenal handed Alexander Isak boost as 'IMPOSSIBLE transfer' targeted

Barcelona are reportedly targeting an “impossible transfer” for Atletico Madrid forward Julian Alvarez, which could inadvertently help Arsenal’s chances of securing a deal for Alexander Isak.
The Argentine has scored 22 goals in 43 appearances across all competitions since his €75 million move from Manchester City last year, and his form under Diego Simeone has attracted significant interest ahead of the summer window.

Barcelona are monitoring his situation at the Wanda Metropolitano and they have identified him as a dream long-term replacement for Robert Lewandowski, according to El Nacional.
However, Atletico Madrid are set to demand a transfer fee of €150m and a summer move to Camp Nou has been described as “impossible” by the Spanish outlet.
In addition, Anfield Watch have revealed that Liverpool are also targeting a summer move for Alvarez, having missed out on the Argentina international in 2024.

Arne Slot’s side are expected to sign a new striker this summer, with Darwin Nunez rumoured to be sold amid Saudi Pro League interest, and they are prepared to sign Alvarez for a club-record fee following his immense debut campaign at Atletico Madrid.
With Liverpool set to battle Barcelona for Alvarez’s signature following the conclusion of the 2024-25 season, it could mean Arsenal may be given a free run at Isak.
The Newcastle forward is wanted by both Barcelona and Liverpool, although Arsenal have identified him as a serious candidate to solve their centre forward woes and they are expected to submit a big-money offer during the summer transfer window.

Arsenal want Alexander Isak
Isak is one of Arsenal’s dream transfer targets for 2025 as Mikel Arteta looks to bolster his forward line ahead of the new campaign.
FootballTransfers understands that RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko is also being heavily pursued by the Gunners, while they are set to rekindle their interest in Ollie Watkins after failing to land the Aston Villa star in January.
