The Gunners are gearing up for the biggest and most transformative transfer window of Mikel Arteta's reign. After failing to win the Premier League in what should have been 'their' season, Arsenal are ready to spend big this summer.

Incoming sporting director Andrea Berta is determined to make a splash in his first window in charge and a host of positions are in line to be strengthened. Arsenal want to add a No.9, a midfielder, a left-back and potentially as many as two wingers.

Clear favourites for some of these positions have already emerged. Benjamin Sesko is likely to be pursued for the striker role, although the seemingly unattainable Alexander Isak is Arteta's dream target.

Martin Zubimendi is the man chosen to bolster Arsenal's midfield ranks, while Nico Williams has been made a priority target for the wings. However, the latter still has not made a decision on whether he will leave boyhood side Athletic Club this summer, so there is a need for alternative options.

Arsenal want Mbeumo and Semenyo

Arsenal have been linked with several wide players in recent weeks and months and two names that have repeatedly cropped up are Antoine Semenyo and Bryan Mbeumo.

TEAMtalk now confirms that Arsenal are concretely interested in the pair of Premier League wingers, who have been impressing at Bournemouth and Brentford, respectively.

Arsenal's interest in Mbeumo, in particular, is long-standing. They attempted a cheeky, last-minute swoop in the dying embers of last year's summer window and also sounded out the possibility of a move in January.

However, Mbeumo won't come cheap. Brentford rate the Cameroon international at €60 million, although they won't stand in his way if a club were to offer a fee in that ballpark this summer.

However, given that Sesko and Zubimendi alone will cost a combined €140m, Arsenal may be forced to sell players first or consider other options. Semenyo could be a cheaper alternative as Bournemouth are said to be demanding 'just' €50m for the Ghanaian.
