Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr have reportedly contacted Arsenal defender Gabriel Magalhaes as they plot an “ambitious move” for the Brazil international this summer.

Gabriel has just over two years remaining on his current contract at Arsenal and although the club are eager to tie him down to a new deal, they are yet to finalise terms with the 27-year-old’s representatives.

As a result, his future remains up in the air and Al-Nassr are hoping to pounce on this uncertainty to secure a deal for Gabriel during the 2025 summer transfer window.

That is according to GiveMeSport, who have revealed that Al-Nassr are “intent” on signing Gabriel this summer, with the Saudi Pro League outfit already submitting an initial approach to his camp.

Stefano Pioli’s side are reportedly willing to offer the Brazil defender an annual salary of €20 million, with Gabriel understood to be “open” to the prospect of moving to Saudi Arabia at some point during his career.

However, Arsenal are determined to tie Gabriel down to a new long-term contract and they are unlikely to consider a sale unless an offer in excess of €100m is submitted.

The 27-year-old has made 41 appearances across all competitions for Arsenal so far this season, scoring five goals, while his Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) currently stands at €74.4m - the fifth-highest of any defender in world football.

William Saliba threat

In addition to Gabriel, Arsenal are also set to face a fight to keep his centre-back partner William Saliba amid significant interest from Real Madrid.

Los Blancos are eager to sign a new defender this summer and they have identified Saliba as one of their priority targets following an impressive few years at the Emirates Stadium.

However, the France international remains happy in north London and he is currently expected to snub interest from Real Madrid in order to remain at Arsenal.
