The Argentina international has been one of Serie A's breakout stars this season. Castro has scored 10 goals for Bologna across all competitions and provided seven assists so far.

This form has earned the 20-year-old his first call-up to Argentina's senior national team and he could make his debut in the World Cup qualifier against Uruguay overnight.

At club level, too, Castro has been attracting attention. In early March, FootballTransfers exclusively revealed that Arsenal had begun taking an interest in the 'Little Bull' who has been compared to Lautaro Martinez.

At the time, we also mentioned interest from Inter and it seems that Castro has already made a decision on which club he wants to join next.

Castro wants to join Inter

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Castro has 'said yes' to a summer transfer to Inter, who are in the midst of a thrilling title race - unlike Arsenal.

It is asserted that Inter are Castro's favourite team and that he would jump at the chance to sign for the Nerazzurri. 'Serious' negotiations over a move could take place in the near future.

Castro is aware that he has interest from elsewhere and isn't completely closing the door, but joining the reigning Serie A champions is his 'hoped-for outcome.'

Bologna are demanding a sizeable €40 million, but Inter feel as though they have two potential aces up their sleeve to drive the price down (in addition to Castro's desire to move). For one, Bologna are very keen on Nerazzuri midfielder Krjstian Asllani.

Additionally, Inter could put pressure on Bologna by threatening to utilise their €12 million buy-back clause for Giovanni Fabbian should they refuse to budge from their valuation.

A deal is not under wraps yet, but Inter appear to be the clear favourites to sign Castro this summer.
