The Blues have only picked up six wins in their last 15 matches in all competitions - with those victories coming against Morecambe, Wolves, West Ham, Southampton, Copenhagen and Leicester - and Enzo Maresca has come under fire following several underwhelming performances.

The Italian has been criticised for Chelsea’s passive style of play in recent weeks, with his side frequently unable to create a high volume of chances when faced against a deep block.

However, Sancho has insisted that the current first-team squad are fully behind the Chelsea boss.

What has Jadon Sancho said?

“We believe in the manager,” Sancho told the club’s official website after their 1-0 win over Leicester on Sunday.

“He tells us what to do next and we just adapt. He makes us feel at home and it’s not easy for players to say that! We’ve grown into one big family and I’m really delighted that I’m here, playing football here.

“The lads are very good and every day is a fun day.”

Sancho added: “We are a young team, but there is a lot of experience in the team. When people say we’re young, I look at it as an excuse. Some guys have played over 100 games so I feel like we’re more than ready and more than capable to go out there and show our best.”

When asked about his own individual form Sancho said: “I know I can do better, especially in front of goal. It’s kind of annoying not to score, but I know it’ll come and I have to be patient.”

Sancho is currently on loan at Chelsea from Manchester United, although the deal will become permanent for a reported transfer fee of €30 million during the upcoming summer transfer window.

The ex-England international has two goals and six assists in 26 appearances for the west London giants, while his Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) currently stands at €36.2m.
