Chelsea confident 'excellent relationship' can secure IMPOSSIBLE transfer

Chelsea are interested in Tijjani Reijnders and there is a belief that he could be attainable in the summer, according to Italian media.
The Dutchman has been one of the few positives of a rotten AC Milan season. Under Paulo Fonseca, Reijnders bailed out the Rossoneri pretty much on a weekly basis. His impact has decreased under Sergio Conceicao, but he nevertheless remains vitally important.
Milan rewarded the 26-year-old with a bumper new contract on Monday, tying him to the club until 2030. Under normal circumstances, Reijnders would now be considered untouchable and a summer transfer impossible.

Yet this has been anything but an ordinary season for Milan. The Serie A giants are at serious risk of missing out on the Champions League and Calciomercato claims that this calls into question the future of every single player.
Milan need a summer overhaul, a revolution, both in terms of playing personnel and at board level. This could result in the club having to make some painful decisions in the upcoming window.

Reijnders to Chelsea?
The Italian outlet claims that not even Reijnders would be off the market should Milan fail to qualify for the Champions League. Worse still, they could even miss out on European football altogether, which would amount to an approximate revenue loss of €80 million, it is claimed.
If this were to materialise, Milan would be forced to 'evaluate every possible offer.' The report asserts that Reijnders has no shortage of suitors outside of Italy and Chelsea, in particular, are waiting in the wings to pounce on his potential availability.

The Blues have an excellent relationship with the Rossoneri due to the lively transfer activity between the two clubs in recent years, with several former Chelsea players now plying their trade at the San Siro.
Man City and Barcelona are also credited with an interest in Reijnders, but Chelsea feel that their close connection with Milan could give them an edge if push comes to shove.
The summer window - and Milan's doomsday scenario - is still far away, but Chelsea have already begun gathering information on Reijnders.
