FootballTransfers understands that superagent Rafaela Pimenta is offering Schalke 04 forward Moussa Sylla to top clubs around Europe.

The 25-year-old joined the fallen German giants last summer and hit like a bomb in Gelsenkirchen. Sylla netted a brace and provided an assist on his 2. Bundesliga debut and went from strength to strength before an untimely injury sidelined him in February.

The two-time Mali international has scored a very impressive 13 goals in 19 appearances in the second tier, but he is not a household name that will be familiar to many football supporters outside of Germany.

Sylla came through the Monaco academy but struggled to leave a lasting impression at Utrecht and Caen. However, he finally managed to achieve his big break when he scored 16 goals in 37 appearances for Ligue 2 side Pau FC last season.

This prompted Schalke, spearheaded by their highly-rated recruitment chief Ben Manga, to spend a sizeable €2.5 million on Sylla. However, the Royal Blues need to raise funds and the striker has shown himself to be much too good to languish in second-tier no man's land.

Pimenta plots ambitious Sylla transfer

FootballTransfers can now reveal that Sylla is actively gunning for a major transfer this summer. Curiously, the 25-year-old is represented by superagent Rafaela Pimenta and she is using her extensive connections to try and engineer an ambitious move.

We are told that Pimenta is offering her client to a host of clubs around Europe to gauge their interest in potentially signing him. The agent is leaving no stone unturned and has even approached the likes of Liverpool and Manchester United.

This seems overly ambitious, however. A club like Royal Antwerp, who have also been contacted by Pimenta, could be a more realistic destination for the Schalke sharpshooter.

Sources have informed us that Pimenta is expected to approach more Premier League sides in a bid to find a new employer for the No.9. We hear that RB Leipzig, who signed Schalke wonderkid Assan Ouedraogo last summer, have been offered the chance to move for Sylla as well.

Schalke successfully managed to ward off interest in Sylla in January, but they are unlikely to try and force him to stay in the summer. Sales are needed for the cash-strapped club and he is one of their most valuable assets.
