Liverpool star promises: My time at Anfield is NOT up after ‘out of proportion’ criticism

Liverpool are faced with an exodus of talent in the summer, with three superstars out of contract and threatening to leave as free agents.
While there are doubts over the future of Mo Salah, Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold, one Anfield star who has been quick to commit his future to the Merseyside club is Andrew Robertson.

The Scotland ace has not enjoyed a particularly strong season under Arne Slot, putting his long-term future at the club in doubt, despite continuing to be the starting left-back at the team running away with the Premier League title.
After coming out on top with the Scots 1-0 against Greece on Thursday, Robertson, 31, sent a strong message back to Merseyside over his future.
“I think we've been linked with pretty much every left-back in the world,” he said.
“That comes with playing with one of the greatest clubs in the world. I look back on these eight years I've had as the starting left-back at that club and I feel a lot of pride.
“Your time comes and I don't think it's my time yet but even if we do bring someone in, then so be it. I'll always back myself.”

Performance level has been there - Robertson
Robertson admitted that he’s not always been at his peak this term but argues that the consistency of his performances make up for that.
“Sure, this season there have been a couple of moments when I haven't covered myself in glory but some things have been taken way out of proportion,” he said.
“I think the performance levels have been there for me. I think I've had a relatively good season but one thing people will say about me is that's I've been pretty consistent, so when you make a couple of mistakes, then people can talk.
“That's the world we live in, that's the Premier League. Everyone has eyes on you, everyone has an opinion.
“It is what it is but I'm always confident in my ability. I've shown that right throughout my career but especially during my time at Liverpool.”
Robertson is under contract until 2026 and has an Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) of €23.2 million.
