Liverpool star ‘CERTAIN’ to leave picks next club

Liverpool are set for a summer transfer overhaul, with Darwin Nunez the latest player to decide to leave Anfield.
While Mohamed Salah, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Virgil van Dijk are all available as free agents because their contracts expire in June, the Uruguay international is on the transfer list after failing to impress Arne Slot.
Liverpool are ready to cash in on the South American striker, who became their most-expensive signing ever when he joined from Benfica in the summer of 2022. The Reds paid an upfront fee of €75m and have since paid €10m more in bonuses, taking the total value of the deal to €85m.

Darwin Nunez set for €65m transfer
Darwin Nunez is “certain” he will leave Liverpool in the summer, according to TodoFichajes, and it is claimed that he has even picked Atletico Madrid as his next side.
Diego Simeone’s side, who are challenging for the LaLiga title, are also set for an overhaul in the months ahead, with their whole forward line liable to be transformed with the exception of Julian Alvarez – who is not for sale but who has come on the Merseyside club’s radar.
Antoine Griezmann is tipped to leave for MLS while Angel Correa has grown fed up being a backup option. Even Alexander Sorloth may depart after just one season at the club.
As such, Atleti are looking for alternatives and with Darwin inevitably on the market, Los Colchoneros are eyeing a summer deal.

The Spanish source claims that the Spaniards are ready to pay €65m for Nunez, which would allow Liverpool to recoup much of their initial outlay in the player.
This figure is also in line with Nunez’s Estimated Transfer Value (ETV), which sits at €67.5m – a career-high figure for the player.
Liverpool retain significant negotiating strength in this case as Darwin Nunez has a contract until 2028, but the Anfield club are unlikely to play hardball over a player who has scored just seven goals in all competitions this season.
