Confusion as Salah's club for next season 'announced'

Mohamed Salah's future continues to be the subject of rampant speculation, with Liverpool, PSG and Al-Hilal all vying for his signature.
The Egyptian King is out of contract at Liverpool in just a little over three months. Salah is enjoying one of the best individual seasons in Premier League history, yet he could quite conceivably depart the champions-in-waiting this summer.
Salah has repeatedly expressed disappointment with Liverpool dragging their feet in the negotiations over fresh terms, although it is thought that progress has been made in recent weeks and months.

However, an agreement still hasn't been reached, leaving Salah's future up in the air. The 32-year-old has suitors at Al-Hilal in Saudi Arabia and PSG in France, while Liverpool naturally want to keep their club legend.
The speculation surrounding Salah's next move is so rampant that sometimes conflicting reports are published on the same day.

Salah to sign for PSG?
Today is just such a day. Spanish outlet Fichajes claims that 'according to various reports,' Salah has decided to move to PSG. Just a few hours earlier, however, Le Parisien reported that PSG had officially given up on signing the veteran.
PSG have always maintained that, contrary to reports, they are not actually in for Salah despite the good relationship between the player and club chief Nasser Al-Khelaifi.

As the above-mentioned French outlet points out, a player of Salah's profile is no longer what PSG are looking for. The era of signing expensive megastars is over as far as Al-Khelaifi and coach Luis Enrique are concerned.
Similarly, Saudi media previously claimed that Salah was already '99 per cent an Al-Hilal player,' yet little has come of this too. In fact, according to transfer insider David Ornstein, the indications are that Salah and teammate Virgil van Dijk will extend their Liverpool contracts.
