The former Real Madrid star has been heavily tipped to secure a lucrative contract in the Saudi Pro League over the past few months, but he recently stated that he will see out his current deal at Man Utd.

In February, Casemiro told Spanish outlet AS: “Above all, I respect Manchester United, a club to which I'm very grateful.

“I have a year and a half left on my contract and I'd like to fulfil it here in Manchester.

“I'm comfortable here and so is my family. They've adapted, we speak English. I'm very grateful to the Old Trafford fans and to the club. I'm happy at club level.”

However, the 33-year-old has now changed his mind. That is according to CaughtOffside, who claim that Casemiro has decided to leave Man Utd following his lack of game time under Ruben Amorim.

The ex-Brazil international has only started six of a possible 17 Premier League matches since Amorim’s appointment as the permanent successor to Erik ten Hag, while he has been an unused substitute on nine occasions during that time.

As a result, Casemiro is reportedly eager to depart Old Trafford this summer, with his agent “actively searching for a new club.”

Casemiro to leave Man Utd?

Teams in Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Brazil and the USA have all expressed an interest in signing Casemiro during the 2025 summer transfer window, as per CaughtOffside, although his wage demands are currently proving to be a stumbling block.

The 33-year-old earns a weekly salary of €415,000 (£350,000) at Man Utd and he is reportedly unwilling to reduce his wages.

Furthermore, Man Utd are holding out for a fee of €30 million, despite Casemiro’s age and the fact that he will have just one year remaining on his contract this summer.
