Man Utd 'plan' to SELL Mainoo to fund Osimhen deal

Manchester United are reportedly “planning” on selling Kobbie Mainoo during the 2025 summer transfer window as they look to raise funds for Victor Osimhen.
The England international has been heavily linked with an Old Trafford exit in recent months, amid significant interest from Chelsea, and Man Utd have now decided to sell him this summer.

That is according to Sky Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg, who posted on X: “Manchester United are confident that they will be able to invest in top transfers this summer, especially as the budget will be freed up through the possible and planned departures of Victor Lindelof, Casemiro, Christian Eriksen, and Kobbie Mainoo.
“The sales of Marcus Rashford and Antony would provide the club with even greater financial flexibility.”
Lindelof and Eriksen are both expected to leave Man Utd when their contracts expire at the end of June, while the Red Devils are reportedly eager to sell Casemiro, Mainoo, Rashford and Antony in order to improve their transfer budget.

The Red Devils have been linked with a number of stars ahead of the summer transfer window, with the club expected to pursue a goalkeeper, a wing-back, a central midfielder and a centre forward.

Man Utd want Victor Osimhen
Despite interest in Viktor Gyokeres, Liam Delap and Benjamin Sesko, Man Utd have identified the aforementioned Osimhen as their dream target for this summer, as per multiple reports.
The Nigeria international is currently on loan at Galatasaray, but he is almost guaranteed to leave Napoli on a permanent deal following the conclusion of the 2024-25 campaign, and Man Utd are eager to finalise a deal.
Arsenal, Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain are also known admirers of Osimhen, although their interest has seemingly cooled in recent months, while, by contrast, Man Utd are pushing to agree a transfer.
