Amorim 'PUSHING' for €100m striker who DESTROYED Man Utd

Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim is 'pushing' for the signing of Samu Aghehowa, according to a report.
The Red Devils are desperately scrambling to add a centre-forward this summer. Joshua Zirkzee and Rasmus Hojlund have disappointed this season and the latter is facing an uncertain future.

Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that clubs are expected to circle around Hojlund this summer and that Man Utd could sell for the right price given that they need to raise funds.
Due to their financial problems, any incomings will have to be financed by outgoings. Unlike other clubs, who are already beginning to make moves, Man Utd can't commit to any spending without knowing whether they will be in the Champions League or out of Europe altogether next term.
Their economic issues mean that it is doubtful whether they will be able to bring in a world-class, high-profile centre-forward like Victor Osimhen or Viktor Gyokeres. Despite this, they are drawing up an exhaustive shortlist of targets.

Amorim pushing for Samu
One name that has been linked with Man Utd several times over the past few weeks and months is Samu Aghehowa. The Spanish youngster stole the show against the Red Devils when they faced off with Porto in the Europa League earlier this season.
Samu caused Matthijs de Ligt all kinds of nightmares and Man Utd have been tracking him ever since. The 20-year-old, who was close to joining Chelsea last year, has been on fire in Portugal, netting 20 goals in 34 appearances across all competitions.

CaughtOffside claims that Man Utd boss Ruben Amorim is 'personally pushing' for the club to make a move for the promising youngster, having seen him first-hand when he was still in charge of Sporting CP.
However, the outlet admits that it is as yet unclear whether Man Utd could afford Samu. He is fitted with a €100 million release clause and although Porto may be willing to negotiate a cheaper sum, he will still be quite pricey as his former club Atletico Madrid will be owed a significant chunk of his fee.
