Man Utd given 'clear trend' HOPE despite Gyokeres and Osimhen threat

Manchester United are being rivalled by Nottingham Forest for both Viktor Gyokeres and Victor Osimhen, but there is hope yet for the Red Devils.
Last week, FootballTransfers exclusively revealed that Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis is planning to go big in the summer market if his side qualify for the Champions League.

The Greek wants to establish Forest as regular participants in Europe's premier competition and he is not afraid to invest big money to achieve this goal.
We revealed that one of the key targets that has emerged for Forest is Sporting CP sharpshooter Viktor Gyokeres. TEAMtalk has now confirmed our reporting on the interest in Gyokeres and Marinakis' plans and adds that Victor Osimhen is also on the radar of the Reds.
It is further claimed that Forest remain keen on Wolves forward Matheus Cunha. The Tricky Trees were ready to launch a club-record bid for the Brazilian in January, but neither the player nor his club were keen to entertain a mid-season exit and he ended up signing a new contract.

'Clear trend' working in Man Utd's favour
Forest, of course, are far from the only side with an interest in these elite strikers. Cunha has admirers at Arsenal and Man Utd, while Gyokeres and Osimhen are also on the shortlist of Ruben Amorim at Old Trafford.
Unlike Forest, who sit in a comfortable third and look a good bet to qualify for the Champions League, Man Utd are facing a major battle to return to the summit of European football.

The Red Devils will have to win the Europa League to get in, but even qualification is unlikely to fix all of their financial and sporting problems. This makes them an unattractive destination for world-class players.
There are major doubts over whether Man Utd will be able to afford the likes of Osimhen and Gyokeres, but they have nevertheless been given a lifeline in pursuit of the latter.
According to Sky Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg, 'the current and clear trend' is that 'Gyokeres will not join Forest.'
