At 19 years old, Dibling has had an exciting breakout season with the Premier League strugglers, yet few would have predicted that Saints see him as potentially the English top-flight’s most expensive player ever.

By setting the bidding at €120m, according to The Telegraph, the former Chelsea academy star could very well become the second most expensive teenager ever, lagging only PSG’s move for Kylian Mbappe.

Dibling is primed to move in the summer, but where does he rank among the most valuable teenagers in the game presently?

FootballTransfers has used its unique algorithm to measure the Southampton hopeful up against his peers.

Who is the most valuable teenage footballer in the world?

Lamine Yamal of Barcelona is the most valuable teenager in the world, with an Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) of €174.3m.

This dwarfs Dibling, whose ETV is only €30.2m and is only the 15th highest among teens across the globe.

At 17, Lamine Yamal is something of a freak in terms of his quality and value, but not so much so that he is the only player in this wage bracket to be worth in excess of €100m – a bracket that Southampton believe their young gun falls into.

But while Saints have a nine-figure sum in mind for Dibling, the other player who is worth this money is Pau Cubarsi, Lamine’s Barcelona team-mate.

Chelsea-bound Geovany Quenda of Sporting CP, Archie Gray of Spurs, Antonio Nusa of RB Leipzig and Arsenal’s Ethan Nwaneri all post bigger ETVs than Dibling, too.
