United have struggled badly in front of goal this term, with neither Rasmus Hojlund or Joshua Zirkzee proving to be up to par.

Man Utd striker targets this summer

The Mirror reports that the top target is Ipswich Town striker Liam Delap.

The young Englishman has enjoyed a breakout season in the Premier League, scoring 12 goals in 30 appearances despite Ipswich being set for instant relegation back to the Championship. United face a battle with Chelsea for Delap’s signature.

The second name on the striker shortlist is Nigerian sensation Victor Osimhen. The 26-year-old is enjoying another goal-filled season on loan at Galatasaray, scoring 28 goals in 32 appearances.

Osimhen will leave his parent club Napoli this summer and has a release clause of €75 million in his contract.

The third name on the shortlist is Amorim’s former Sporting Lisbon pupil Viktor Gyokeres.

Gyokeres is having another brilliant season, with 43 goals in 43 games. Once again, there is strong competition from Europe’s top clubs but Amorim hopes his relationship with the Swede will help negotiations.

The final name on the shortlist is Eintracht Frankfurt striker Hugo Ekitike.

The France star has reignited his career this season with 19 goals in all competitions after a difficult spell at PSG.

United have endured a disastrous season in the bottom half of the Premier League but they are hoping to end the campaign on a high as they play Lyon in the Europa League quarter final first leg on Thursday in France.
