Man Utd get ‘one condition’ message over Osimhen transfer

Manchester United will be keeping eyes fixed on the Serie A table as the season winds down because it could have a huge bearing on the future of Victor Osimhen.
Man Utd have made the Napoli striker one of their leading targets in the summer transfer window, with Ruben Amorim’s squad in need of a prolific frontman to add goals to their game.

Osimhen, on loan at Galatasaray, has 20 goals in 22 Super Lig matches and on Friday bagged a hat-trick against Antalyaspor in a 4-0 win.
With Chelsea and Arsenal both holding an interest in the striker, there is a danger that the Red Devils will miss out on the 26-year-old, yet their Premier League rivals are primarily targeting other alternatives.
A threat also comes from Juventus, and though Napoli are not keen to sell to the Turin giants, the Bianconeri are seeking an upgrade on Dusan Vlahovic, who has struggled to impress under the guidance of Thiago Motta this season.

Juventus will only move for Osimhen under one condition: that they qualify for the Champions League next season, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.
Man Utd, then, will be hopeful that one of their leading rivals to sign the No.9 is effectively knocked out of the running by finishing outside of the top four in Serie A.

Juventus’ Osimhen hopes on a knife edge
Juve stand on the brink. Although they have lost only two matches in the Italian top-flight this season, they have drawn a massive 13 times. Last time out, they were thumped 4-0 at home by Atalanta when victory would have cemented their place in the top four and kept them on the fringes of the title race.
They now sit fourth on 52 points, just one better off than Lazio and a couple ahead of an in-form Bologna side.
Osimhen, meanwhile, is virtually certain to move in the summer after a failed transfer a year ago.
Chelsea and PSG came close to landing the striker, whose €12 million-per-year wage demands saw a move to Stamford Bridge break down. Meanwhile, a deal was not done with PSG because Napoli wanted a transfer fee in the region of €120m.
Osimhen’s price tag has dropped to something like €70m this summer, putting him within reach of Man Utd if they can make some big sales first.
