We’re now in the real danger stage of the Premier League, a time when clubs will take a risk in the hope of bettering their campaign late on, and as a result, some managers are in a perilous position.

Nine games are left in this season, and this is around the time that clubs will start to write the plans for next term, and this involves any player and coaching changes. So, it would certainly not be a surprise if we saw a few things change between now and the end of the season.

Of course, there is the other reason why managerial changes may occur. If there is a slight chance that teams will be able to save themselves and/or better their position this season, they may bite the bullet and look to bring in a new head coach.

So, let’s take a look at which coaches are at serious risk of leaving their current teams before the end of the 2024/25 Premier League season, courtesy of odds from BettingLounge - a place to find the best prices and bookmakers.

Ruud van Nistelrooy - Leicester City

At the time of writing, Van Nistelrooy is the clear favourite for the next manager to be sacked in the Premier League, and it does not come as a surprise, or at least it shouldn’t.

Since joining the club, he has won just two games, picking up a total of seven points from a possible 48 available - a harrowing record that shows how poor this Leicester side are under his guidance, though you can definitely argue that the team’s problems go way past the head coach.

Despite these facts, the head coach still remains positive that his team can stay in the Premier League, stating: “It’s about the mathematical possibility that is there. As long as that is the case, we are professionals and keep doing our jobs. We can’t and won’t give up until it’s mathematically impossible.” (via Leicester Mercury).

A nine-point swing is needed for the club to stay in the Premier League next season, but with no points in the past five games, it is really difficult to see this happening, and perhaps, you could go as far as stating that it is near impossible. Harsh, but a true reality for this side now.

Odds currently have him at 8/11 to be the next head coach sacked in the division, and it is, on the face of it, extremely unlikely that he will be entrusted to oversee a Championship rebuild.

Ange Postecoglou - Tottenham Hotspur

This, again, should not really come as a shock to see on this list, and being brutally honest, it is somewhat of a shock that it has not already happened.

Since joining the club, Ange Postecoglou has been a divisive figure for many, and with results not up to scratch and ideas not becoming anything successful, Spurs fans are, again, getting frustrated at the Australian.

At the weekend, the coach was seen arguing with fans after the game and was taken away from the situation by his own players, as The Sun reports. To worsen this situation, it is not even the first instance of him clashing with the fans and hopes about the future are dropping really quickly.

In addition to this, refusing to change his tactics has become a frustration for fans, as there is no sign of something being built. Now, in his second season, there has been no real improvement since he joined the club, and there can not be any real evidence of that changing if he is allowed to enter his third year as head coach.

No Manager to Leave

The final betting market in this list is for no manager to leave between now and the end of the season, which is also not a bad bet.

Whilst clubs may want to change coaches, they also may want to assess the picture going into the summer transfer window, hence allowing them slightly more time to decide if they want to move on or see if other coaches become available.

No manager leaving is the third favourite option in the market at 4/1, and whilst it is quite probable that there may be some coaching changes before the start of next season, when and who will make them is not 100% clear.
