Chelsea are going to be busy in the summer transfer window, with the Blues set to recruit all over the field.
Such an intense period of transfer activity calls for an extensive number of transfer options to ensure that each position can be filled, and Sky Sports has claimed that Chelsea have a “big” shortlist heading into the summer.
Not only do the Blues have a Plan A and B in many positions, but they also have a Plan C, D and E across the part to ensure they can find someone who fits their bill.
With Chelsea aiming to bolster their squad before the FIFA Club World Cup begins in the middle of June, the Blues are expected to move early and decisively in the window.
Which strikers do Chelsea want to sign?
Chelsea have five names they are looking at to join Nicolas Jackson as a No.9 at the club.
A deal for Napoli striker Victor Osimhen could be revisited this summer after talks broke down a year ago only because of his wage demands. But Liam Delap of Ipswich has emerged as a leading candidate for the Stamford Bridge side, who have as many as five options at centre-forward.

Which wingers do Chelsea want to sign?
Bolstering Chelsea’s attack is not simply about adding a forward to their ranks. The Blues are also prioritising the wide areas and have three players primarily in their sights for this area.
Two of these are familiar targets: Alejandro Garnacho and Nico Williams have both been subject to major transfer interest from Chelsea over the course of the last year.
Borussia Dortmund’s Jamie Gittens is also a target after a breakout campaign in the Bundesliga, with the Blues seemingly not put off by his recent dip in form.

Which defenders do Chelsea want to sign?
Chelsea will also focus on strengthening the core of their defence, and to that end, they have three Premier League stars on their radar.
Foremost among these players is Dean Huijsen, the Bournemouth star who seems to have given the Blues his preference ahead of Real Madrid and Liverpool. But interest elsewhere in the Spain international means that no deal for him is certain.
Marc Guehi of Crystal Palace and Jarrad Branthwaite of Everton are, therefore, options.
