Chelsea to include Sancho in MEGA swap deal as Maresca targets mass overhaul

Chelsea are reportedly interested in including Jadon Sancho in a swap deal bid for Borussia Dortmund winger Jamie Gittens.
Sancho, 25, moved to Stamford Bridge on a season-long loan deal from Manchester United last summer and Chelsea’s win over Fulham last weekend triggered their obligation to buy clause worth around €30 million.

The Blues are, however, still able to send Sancho back to Old Trafford, although they will be required to pay a €6m penalty fee to do this and reports indicate they are currently likely to sign Sancho on a permanent deal.
Despite this, Chelsea are reportedly open to offloading him immediately and GiveMeSport claim that he could be used as a makeweight in a deal for the aforementioned Gittens.
The England U21 international is one of Chelsea’s top transfer targets for the 2025 summer window and reports in Germany suggest that Enzo Maresca’s side have already initiated contact with Dortmund as they look to finalise an agreement for Gittens’ signature.

The Bundesliga giants were previously set to demand a transfer fee of roughly €100m, but they have now reduced their asking price to between €50-60m and the 20-year-old is set to see his salary doubled if he joins Chelsea.
However, Dortmund are reportedly interested in re-signing Sancho for a third time and a swap deal of sorts could be on the cards, as per GiveMeSport.

Chelsea eye summer revamp
Chelsea’s eagerness to bring Gittens to the club comes amid rumours that a mass overhaul is likely to take place at Stamford Bridge this summer.
Axel Disasi, Joao Felix, Renato Veiga, Carney Chukwuemeka, Ben Chilwell and Christopher Nkunku are all set to be sold ahead of the 2025-26 campaign, while Kendry Paez and Filip Jorgensen could be sent out on season-long loan deals.
In addition to Gittens, Chelsea are expected to sign either Marc Guehi or Dean Huijsen, and they will look to bring a new striker to the club in order to provide competition for Nicolas Jackson.
Benjamin Sesko, Liam Delap, Jonathan David and Hugo Ekitike are among the centre forwards being monitored by the Blues hierarchy, while Victor Osimhen continues to be of interest to the Stamford Bridge outfit despite his lofty wage demands.
