€100m Chelsea target hands in TRANSFER REQUEST

Borussia Dortmund winger Jamie Gittens has handed in a formal transfer request for the summer, according to German media.
The England youth international's departure from the Bundesliga side is slowly but surely beginning to take shape. It has been an open secret all season that Gittens is unlikely to stay beyond the summer, especially if Dortmund miss out on the Champions League.

Gittens enjoyed a rip-roaring start to the campaign, but his form has fallen off a cliff since the sacking of Nuri Sahin and the appointment of Niko Kovac.
The 20-year-old is no longer a guaranteed starter for BVB, and his goal in a 4-1 thrashing of Freiburg at the weekend was his first in the Bundesliga since mid-January.
It has been a pretty dire 2025 for him so far, which has only increased his desire for a change of scenery in the upcoming transfer window.

Gittens hands in transfer request
Sky Germany now reports that Gittens has formally informed Borussia Dortmund that he is looking to leave the club this summer. The club won't stand in his way, although they have mixed feelings about the circumstances.
In January, when Gittens was still living off his early-season form, the German side slapped a €100 million price tag on his head and this has remained their 'dream' price for him.

However, due to his desire to leave and his form slump, Gittens will no longer be able to command such an inflated fee. On the contrary, journalists Florian Plettenberg and Patrick Berger both state that he could be relatively affordable for his suitors.
Chelsea have been heavily linked with a move for Gittens in recent months as they remain in the market for a left-winger, but Bayern are also keenly watching developments at Dortmund. The player is said to be keen on a return to England.
