Fabrizio Romano transfer news: Man Utd, Chelsea in Delap BATTLE, Gyokeres CONFIRMATION, Isak PROBLEM

Football transfer news expert Fabrizio Romano has revealed the truth behind the latest transfer gossip, including Liam Delap, Viktor Gyokeres and Alexander Isak.
Man Utd and Chelsea battle over Delap
Liam Delap may be wanted “by half the Premier League”, but it’s clear that Manchester United and Chelsea are the two clubs most interested in the Ipswich striker.
Romano explained on his YouTube channel: “Liam Delap is really considering his options. His agents have already had direct contact with clubs around Europe, but especially in Europe, to find the right solution for the player. Delap is doing well for Ipswich Town but the trouble is his club are not. So there’s a chance the relegation clause is activated.
“In case Ipswich gets relegated to the Championship, Delap will be available in the summer transfer window for only £30 million. It’s a big opportunity.
“He’s surely on the list of Man Utd. They’ll decide which striker they want when they have cleared the Financial Fair Play (FFP ) situation, so they know how much they can spend. And then Chelsea, who like Delap. These two clubs are interested. There is also some interest from Germany. But in England, they think Delap could be a bargain, and he’s also not on a crazy salary and this is helping in terms of FFP.
“Man Utd have already had some conversations to understand how the clause works. Chelsea had talks in January, but Delap wanted to respect Ipswich Town.
“Manchester City have a buy-back clause and also a 20% sell-on clause but at the moment my understanding is that Chelsea and Man Utd are the two clubs most advanced on Delap.”
Hojlund moving on from Man Utd
Man Utd are likely to make space for a new striker by selling Rasmus Hojlund, with interest building in the No.9 primarily from Italy. At least two Serie A giants are following his case.
Romano said: “Rasmus Hojlund’s situation could be over. I told you this in February. Now Italian clubs have started calling about Hojlund. They have a feeling there could be a chance to bring the player back to Serie A. They signed him from Atalanta.
“The Italian clubs have had some feedback, and we have to see about the price and what Man Utd decide to do, but it’s an interesting situation.
“Juventus like the striker. Napoli also want to bring in an important striker in the summer. They have genuine interest in Rasmus Hojlund. These are two clubs monitoring the situation.”

Gyokeres price tag revealed
One player who will definitely move is Viktor Gyokeres. The Sporting CP striker already has an agreement to move on, with Arsenal taking a close look at him.
“On Viktor Gyokeres, let me clarify something. I said before that he would be available for less than his release clause and I can confirm that,” Romano said. “Gyokeres, after a pact he has with the president of Sporting, could be available for something like €65-70m, including bonuses. But we need to see the structure of the package, how it works in terms of payment terms.
“He could be an option for Manchester United – he’s appreciated by Ruben Amorim – but it’s not a done deal. It’s an open story for several clubs, including Arsenal, who also appreciate the player. New sporting director Andrea Berta likes Gyokeres, who was a player he tracked last summer for Atletico Madrid.
“Gyokeres will, for sure, be leaving Sporting this summer. Forget about him staying. It’ll soon be time to make a decision.”
Cunha to Newcastle?
Wolves attacker Matheus Cunha is another open case. The former Atletico Madrid attacker is attracting interest from Newcastle United.
“All clubs are informed about Matheus Cunha’s £62.5m release clause at Wolves. It’s a big opportunity. The interest is there and the player is ready to make a move,” Romano explained.
“There’s interest from several clubs. I’d include Newcastle. I can confirm that. They have a good relationship with his agents and they’ll have a conversation. They’ll surely invest in the summer in that situation.
“With Man Utd, they appreciate the player, but it’s not something they are already negotiating.”

The problem with Alexander Isak
Newcastle striker Alexander Isak is subject to intense transfer speculation, but there’s a problem for the clubs chasing the Sweden hitman, as Romano explains.
“We had some rumours that Alexander Isak could go to Barcelona, but he’s way too expensive. Barcelona appreciate Isak, yes, but for him to go there at the moment is more than complicated,” Romano said.
“Arsenal consider him the dream target but it’s not an easy one. Liverpool have made some contact too.
“But the problem in this case is Newcastle. They’ll make life very difficult to any club interested in Isak because they want to keep the player. It will take a big, big proposal. They want to keep the player. They see Isak as part of the club next season. To change this would take something completely crazy.”
