Alexander-Arnold considers stunning Liverpool contract U-turn as Reds put €100m on the table

Trent Alexander-Arnold has given Liverpool hope that he may sign a new contract with the Anfield club and, in turn, reject the chance to move to Real Madrid.
Alexander-Arnold is widely expected to leave his boyhood club and complete a move to the Bernabeu this summer.

The Reds, however, have late hope that the right-back could follow the example of Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah by renewing with the Premier League champions in waiting by a report from the Liverpool Echo.
It is claimed that Alexander-Arnold has been spooked by the ongoing managerial uncertainty at Real Madrid.

Liverpool make €100m double swoop
Whether Alexander-Arnold stays of not will not stop Arne Slot undertaking a major transfer operation in the summer, with Liverpool already seeking to remodel their title-winning side by investing €100 million in Premier League talent.
According to the Daily Mail, the Dutchman wants to sign Bournemouth duo Milos Kerkez and Dean Huijsen for a combined fee of a little more than €100m.
Huijsen appears to have given a strong preference to moving to Chelsea, however.

In the case of Kerkez, who is seen as credible competition for Andy Robertson in the left-back slot at Anfield, there will also be plenty of suitors, and as such a deal is not a formality.
What is certain is that Slot is making serious moves to strengthen his already formidable squad, which Liverpool hope Alexander-Arnold will still be a part of next season.
