Haaland becomes transfer MVP with €200m valuation
Analysis
Erling Braut Haaland is the most valuable player in world football, with his Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) approaching €200 million.
The 24-year-old Manchester City striker currently has an ETV of €199.6 million, which puts him just €400,000 away from the magic €200 million mark. If Haaland reaches that mark, he will be the very first footballer to achieve this.

Haaland is seen as the flag on the mud barge this season at Manchester City, who are having a very disappointing season. The Citizens were knocked out of the Champions League in the round of 16 by Real Madrid and have to work hard in the remaining six league games to be active in the billion-dollar tournament next season.
The team of coach Pep Guardiola currently occupies fifth place in the Premier League, just one point ahead of number six Chelsea.
The Norwegian international scored thirty goals and provided four assists this season, spread over forty games. Due to this enormous production of goals, Manchester City rewarded Haaland in January with a contract extension until mid-2034 .
The attacker thus became one of the best-paid footballers of all time, because according to The Guardian, the top striker can earn 600,000 euros per week in the coming years. On an annual basis, this means that Haaland can add 31.2 million euros to his account. In just over nine years, the left-footer will have earned a mega sum of 296.4 million euros in the service of Manchester City.

Haaland’s new mega-contract at Manchester City has also seen the goal scorer’s ETV go through the roof.
In November 2024, the Norwegian’s ETV was worth €155.8 million. The striker’s current market value is now estimated at €199.6 million, according to the most recent update from April. That’s an increase of 28.1 percent compared to the November update.
Should Manchester City fail to qualify for next season's Champions League, European giants will be lining up to sign the goal-scoring player.
FC Barcelona, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain are among the possible destinations. Real Madrid has long been seen as a dream club for Haaland and is said to be prepared to pay deep pockets to bring him to Spain.
