Andrea Cambiaso (Juventus)
Man City were eager to sign Juventus defender Andrea Cambiaso in January, but they were unable to finalise an agreement for the Italy international and he remained in Turin as a result.
However, the eight-time Premier League champions are expected to rekindle their interest in Cambiaso this summer as Guardiola looks to add the versatile Italian to his first-team squad.
Cambiaso is able to play on either flank and he is one of Man City’s priority transfer targets, despite the fact that his price tag is in excess of €60m.

Adam Wharton (Crystal Palace)
Man City signed Porto midfielder Nico Gonzalez during the January transfer window, however they remain determined to bolster the options available to Guardiola in the middle of the park.
Crystal Palace star Adam Wharton is one such target amid his impressive form since moving to Selhurst Park last year.
But, Wharton is also being chased by a host of other Premier League clubs, while Real Madrid have even been linked with a sensational deal. As a result, Man City are set to face a major transfer battle in their bid to sign him.
Florian Wirtz (Bayer Leverkusen)
Bayer Leverkusen superstar Florian Wirtz has been identified as Man City’s dream long-term replacement for the aforementioned De Bruyne, and it’s believed that a deal could take place this summer.
The Germany international has established himself as one of the world’s best players over the past few years and he is being chased by a plethora of elite European clubs.
As a result, Man City may struggle to convince Wirtz to move to the Etihad Stadium, amid competition from Bayern Munich, and an extended stay at Leverkusen is also on the cards. However, Wirtz is certainly a key target for Guardiola.
Diogo Costa (Porto)
Ederson has been touted to leave Man City this summer, following rumours of an exit in 2024, and the Etihad Stadium outfit are now searching for a possible replacement.
FootballTransfers exclusively revealed that Porto’s Diogo Costa is being scouted by Guardiola’s side, and we understand that he is the club’s top goalkeeper target for the summer window.
The Portugal international has enjoyed a fruitful spell at Porto, following his promotion into the senior team in 2021, but a move to Man City could take place this summer.

Eduardo Camavinga (Real Madrid)
In addition to the aforementioned Wharton, Man City are also monitoring Eduardo Camavinga’s situation at Real Madrid.
The France international is yet to nail down a consistent starting berth under Carlo Ancelotti, and FootballTransfers understands that Man City are eyeing up a potential deal this summer.
Camavinga has four years remaining on his current Real Madrid contract, however, so Los Blancos are in a strong negotiating position.
