Man Utd receive UNEXPECTED transfer hint

Brentford boss Thomas Frank has hinted that Manchester United midfielder Christian Eriksen could be set to return to the club on a free transfer this summer.
The 33-year-old will be available on a Bosman deal when his current Man Utd contract expires in July and he has been heavily tipped to rejoin Eredivisie giants Ajax ahead of the 2024-25 campaign.

However, Frank has suggested that Eriksen would be welcomed back at Brentford if he opts to return to west London this summer.
Eriksen spent six months with the Bees following a cardiac arrest at the delayed 2020 European Championship, registering five goal contributions in 11 games for the club, before earning a move to Man Utd in 2022.
When asked about his compatriot, Frank told reporters (as per GOAL): “Christian is a fantastic player and probably the best Danish player in recent times.

“I think we saw most recently against Portugal that he is still in a really good place. There is no doubt that he really wants to play some more and had a really good time when he was with us.
“I am open to all players, but of course, there are lots of things that need to be worked out when it comes to transfers. I would say that nothing is closed.”
Frank was then asked whether he had held any direct talks with Eriksen, and the Brentford boss remained tight-lipped with his reply. “I can't be that specific,” he admitted.
“Generally I usually say that I really like to talk about the players who are here right now, and if I have to talk about others, I usually say it could be [Cristiano] Ronaldo or [Lionel] Messi, as it's a bit safer to talk about. So I can't really answer that.”

Christian Eriksen to leave Man Utd
A move back to either Ajax or Brentford appears to be on the cards for Eriksen, although an extended stay at Man Utd is currently out of the question.
The Denmark legend will leave Old Trafford when his contract expires at the end of June, and the Red Devils are expected to sign a new central midfielder this summer in order to compensate for his departure.
Eriksen has made 100 appearances across all competitions for Man Utd, scoring seven goals and providing 17 assists, while his Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) currently stands at €3.6 million.
