Marcus Rashford: Aston Villa loan ends in BRUTAL circumstances

Marcus Rashford's season is likely over after the Aston Villa winger suffered a hamstring injury.
The 27-year-old has managed to revive his career on loan at Villa Park, but his season has now been cut short, according to David Ornstein of The Athletic.

An untimely hamstring injury will see Rashford sidelined for the next few weeks. Although Ornstein has not entirely ruled out Rashford being available for Aston Villa's penultimate match of the season against Tottenham, he reports that no chances will be taken.
Rashford's focus is to be fully fit and firing for June's international break, when England take on Andorra in a World Cup qualifier and Senegal in a friendly. In positive news, he does not require surgery on his hamstring.
Considering that he is expected to return to full fitness before the season officially concludes at the end of June, his injury is unlikely to hugely influence his future, with Rashford still in limbo over where he will play next term.

Rashford's next move
Transfer insider Fabrizio Romano recently revealed that there is a clear expectation that Rashford's career at parent club Man Utd is over. The loanee is unlikely to be reintegrated into the squad by Ruben Amorim and will, ideally, be sold permanently this summer.
Aston Villa have a purchase option of around €47 million, but it is still too early for the club to make a decision on whether to prolong his stay in Birmingham.

Due to Villa's recent concerns over Profit and Sustainability Rules, the club first need to find out in which European competition they will play next season and how much money is available to spend this summer.
Aston Villa boss Unai Emery has been delighted with Rashford's impact since his arrival in January, but there is a chance that the England international will seek a new challenge this summer.
Champions League qualification is important to Rashford, and it is understood that he is still attracted by Barcelona, who were his preferred destination in January. However, it is unclear whether the Catalans still have an interest in him.
