Amorim SACRIFICES Garnacho: Man Utd fan favourite funds Cunha deal

Manchester United will look to cash in on Alejandro Garnacho to fund their summer business, according to a report.
The Red Devils need to procure money to be able to pay for what is expected to be a huge summer of transfers for Man Utd. Head coach Ruben Amorim has a clear idea of how he wants his side to play, but he is still lacking the necessary players.

It will be a major rebuild at Old Trafford - again - but Man Utd's well-documented financial issues complicate the matter. Winning the Europa League and thereby qualifying for the Champions League would certainly help, but it won't fix all the issues.
Sales need to be made, and earlier on Wednesday, it was reported that Amorim has earmarked at least six players to be axed this summer. One of the most prominent names mentioned was Alejandro Garnacho.
The Argentine was already being courted in January, with Chelsea and Napoli vying for his services. Ultimately, neither club was willing to pay the quoted €70 million fee, which left Napoli coach Antonio Conte fuming.

Man Utd to offload Garnacho
It could be a different story this summer, however, with Man Utd actively looking to cash in on Garnacho, according to talkSPORT. The player, too, is said to be willing to listen to proposals after failing to come to grips with Amorim's style.
Garnacho is one of Man Utd's most valuable assets and would count as 'pure profit' on the books after coming through the club's academy. A big-money sale would massively aid the Red Devils in their summer plans.

Man Utd want to sign at least two attacking players in the upcoming window, and talks with Matheus Cunha have already started. Liam Delap is also eyed, but signing both would require an outlay north of €100m.
Selling a player of Garnacho's calibre is, therefore, crucial even if the Old Trafford faithful would hate to see the fan favourite leave. Chelsea and Napoli remain interested in the 20-year-old, while Atletico Madrid are reportedly also monitoring their former academy winger.
