Goncalo Inacio and Francisco Trincao are among those who have been linked with a lucrative move to Man Utd this summer, although Geovany Quenda has snubbed the chance to reunite with Amorim in favour of joining Chelsea in 2026.

Furthermore, Man Utd’s hopes of landing Viktor Gyokeres and Morten Hjulmand have diminished as Arsenal are reportedly set to pursue a €150 million double deal.

Gyokeres has been identified as Arsenal’s priority centre forward target following the appointment of Andrea Berta as the club’s new sporting director, while they have now joined the race to sign Hjulmand, as per CaughtOffside.

The Denmark international has been heavily linked with a move to Man Utd in recent months, amid their pursuit of a new central midfielder, although Arsenal have expressed their interest in his signature as they look to sign a long-term replacement for Thomas Partey.

The 25-year-old has made 42 appearances across all competitions so far this season, scoring three goals, and Tottenham Hotspur have also identified him as a possible target ahead of the summer window.

However, Mikel Arteta's side hold a key trump card in the race for Hjulmand as the Sporting star is a boyhood Gunners fan and he even has an Arsenal tattoo on his left arm.

Arsenal want Viktor Gyokeres and Martin Hjulmand

Gyokeres is set to be available for a fee of around €70m this summer, while Hjulmand has an €80m release clause included in his current Sporting contract, meaning the pair will likely cost a combined €150m.

Mikel Arteta is also eager to strengthen several other areas of his first-team squad, with the Gunners expected to pursue a move for Espanyol goalkeeper Joan Garcia and Athletic Club winger Nico Williams when the 2025 summer transfer window opens.
