Trent Alexander-Arnold to make Real Madrid announcement this week, claims top pundit

Trent Alexander-Arnold has been told to declare his intentions to Liverpool fans after netting the Reds’ winner in Sunday’s Premier League clash with Leicester.
A thumping left-footed shot from the England international was enough to guide Arne Slot’s side closer to the title via a 1-0 win, with the Anfield club now set to lift the crown should Arsenal lose to Crystal Palace in midweek or if they beat Tottenham next weekend.
Alexander-Arnold’s future, though, continues to be the subject of controversy. He is expected to leave for Real Madrid as a free agent, potentially provoking the outrage of the Anfield support, but he has not yet announced his intention to do so.
Although the 26-year-old has refused to discuss the issue, he’s been told he will need to make a public announcement imminently.
“There's going to come a point, around this time next Sunday, whereby he's going to have nowhere else to go,” Gary Neville told Sky Sports.
“Because the season's over for Liverpool, in essence. They'll have won the league. There is nothing else to talk about other than: 'Are you staying at the club or not?' And he'll have to just say yes or no.
“He'll have to get himself sorted this week, I would imagine. Because once you start leaving it beyond next weekend, when you've won the league, it becomes a little bit distasteful. You're better off just declaring your hand, I think, at that point and just say: 'Yes, I'm staying' or 'no, I'm not'."
Alexander-Arnold to Real Madrid: Official announcement a matter of time
While Mo Salah and Virgil van Dijk have both committed their futures to Liverpool with their contracts running down, the same is not expected for Alexander-Arnold.
Multiple sources announced in March that an agreement over a contract with Real Madrid was imminent.
The Spanish side want to sign Alexander-Arnold before the Club World Cup in the summer, with a special transfer window facilitated by FIFA to make this happen.
