Arsenal are keen to further strengthen their squad this summer as they look to continue their progression under Mikel Arteta ahead of the new season.

The Gunners have improved each campaign under the tenure of their former midfielder and that is partly due to their shrewd activity in the transfer market under him.

In the summer of 2023, Arsenal broke their transfer record to sign Declan Rice from West Ham for €116.6 million.

In addition, Kai Havertz, Jurrien Timber and David Raya (loan) also arrived during the same window as the Gunners spent big after missing out on the English top flight title.

The club haven't been shy in splashing the cash recently to try and fight the might of Manchester City and Liverpool in the Premier League, and with an injection of Champions League money, they are set to splurge on transfers this summer once again.

We exclusively detailed via Steve Kay that Arsenal are prepared to SMASH their transfer record this summer, with Arteta set to be backed heavily in the transfer market.

As always with such a big club, the Arsenal transfer rumour mill is in full swing, with Arteta keen to add to the talent he has already brought to the club.

No concerns over Saka future

There's no doubt that Bukayo Saka's performances in an Arsenal shirt deserve silverware. Even if the Gunners don't win big trophies soon, it doesn't look like there are concerns over his future.

Speaking ahead of the Champions League clash against Real Madrid, Saka said: "I want to win. I want to win wearing this badge. It's pretty clear. The fans know how much I love them. I think they love me back, I'm really happy to be here."

Arsenal boost as Man Utd OUT of Gyokeres pursuit

Arsenal have been handed a boost as Man Utd will no longer pursue a deal for Viktor Gyokeres.

The Swede has already drawn up a list of clubs he would sign for and United aren't on it, so the Red Devils have turned their attention to Liam Delap of Ipswich.

According to reports, Arsenal will hold talks with Gyokeres' agents on Tuesday. (ESPN)

Arsenal behind Man Utd in Cunha race

Man Utd have initiated talks to sign Matheus Cunha this summer.

The Brazilian has been a shining light in a dismal season for Wolves and has already stated his desire to move to a bigger club and fight for silverware.

Arsenal and Liverpool have been credited with an interest, too, but the Red Devils will look to strike a deal early to get their man. (talkSPORT)

Arsenal set for Eze battle

Arsenal and Liverpool are the two main contenders to sign Eberechi Eze from Crystal Palace this summer.

The England international has long been linked with a move away from Palace and could have left a year ago if not for the departure of Michael Olise.

According to Caught Offside, he'll likely move to either the Emirates or Anfield.

Gyokeres' agents to be in North London this week

Viktor Gyokeres has emerged as Arsenal's number one transfer target this summer and a deal looks to be gathering pace.

Football.London reports that the Swede's representatives will be in North London this week to attend Arsenal's Champions League clash against Real Madrid.

First summer signing CLOSE

Arsenal are closing in on their first signing for the upcoming transfer window.

Even though a new centre-forward is a priority for the club, they will instead look to strengthen the goalkeeper position first, as a deal is set to be struck for Espanyol stopper Joan Garcia.

El Nacional reports that Garcia has a €20 million release clause.

Gyokeres emerges as number one transfer target

Arsenal have made a new striker a priority this summer and Viktor Gyokeres is currently at the top of Mikel Arteta's wishlist.

New sporting director Andrea Berta arrived at the Gunners last week and has wasted no time in initiating plans for the upcoming window, with the Sporting CP striker emerging as a major target.

Gyokeres was linked with Arsenal last summer, but the club opted against signing a new centre-forward. (GiveMeSport)

Osimhen future revealed

Victor Osimhen is more likely to move to the Saudi Pro League than the Premier League this summer, reports David Ornstein of the Athletic.

The Nigeria forward is currently on loan at Galatasary from Napoli and is expected to leave Naples on a permanent basis this summer. Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United have all been linked with a move for Osimhen, but the fee and wages included in any potential deal means Saudi clubs hold the advantage.

“There seems to be a consensus among PL clubs that [Osimhen’s] most likely destination is Saudi Arabia,” Ornstein wrote. “Part of that will be down to the affordability of his wages. But let's see.”

Gyokeres WOULD move to Arsenal

Viktor Gyokeres apparently has a list of clubs he would accept a transfer to this summer - and Arsenal feature on it.

According to A Bola, the Swede would move to one of the Gunners, Liverpool, Man City, Real Madrid, Barcelona, PSG or Bayern Munich if given the opportunity.

Dortmund could battle Arsenal for Nypan

Arsenal are currently one of the favourites to sign Rosenborg midfielder Sverre Nypan this summer, but could face major competition from Borussia Dortmund.

At the moment, BVB's top summer target is Rayan Cherki of Lyon, who has also been linked with the Gunners, but should that move not materalise, they will turn their attention to Nypan.

The Rosenborg wonderkid is tipped to move for around €10 million. (Bild)
