Arsenal are keen to further strengthen their squad this summer as they look to continue their progression under Mikel Arteta ahead of the new season.

Article continues under the video

The Gunners have improved each campaign under the tenure of their former midfielder and that is partly due to their shrewd activity in the transfer market under him.

In the summer of 2023, Arsenal broke their transfer record to sign Declan Rice from West Ham for €116.6 million.

In addition, Kai Havertz, Jurrien Timber and David Raya (loan) also arrived during the same window as the Gunners spent big after missing out on the English top flight title.

The club haven't been shy in splashing the cash recently to try and fight the might of Manchester City and Liverpool in the Premier League, and with an injection of Champions League money, they are set to splurge on transfers this summer once again.

We exclusively detailed via Steve Kay that Arsenal are prepared to SMASH their transfer record this summer, with Arteta set to be backed heavily in the transfer market.

As always with such a big club, the Arsenal transfer rumour mill is in full swing, with Arteta keen to add to the talent he has already brought to the club.

Osimhen deal struck one minute after midnight

Agent George Gardi has revealed Victor Osimhen's move to Napoli was conceived seconds after his deal with Chelsea fell through on Deadline Day.

He told TMW: "The deal was born at midnight and one minute on Friday with the European markets closed. I saw that Victor had not left, that there was a particular situation in Naples. I asked the club if they were willing to let the player go on loan, they gave me the opening and I immediately contacted the Turkish club to tell them that it would be an unmissable opportunity but to get it done quickly!"
