Arsenal Transfer News LIVE: Merino talks ONGOING, Nketiah to FOREST, Gyokeres FUTURE

Arsenal are keen to further strengthen their squad this summer as they look to continue their progression under Mikel Arteta ahead of the new season.
The Gunners have improved each campaign under the tenure of their former midfielder and that is partly due to their shrewd activity in the transfer market under him.
In the summer of 2023, Arsenal broke their transfer record to sign Declan Rice from West Ham for €116.6 million.
In addition, Kai Havertz, Jurrien Timber and David Raya (loan) also arrived during the same window as the Gunners spent big after missing out on the English top flight title.
The club haven't been shy in splashing the cash recently to try and fight the might of Manchester City and Liverpool in the Premier League, and with an injection of Champions League money, they are set to splurge on transfers this summer once again.
We exclusively detailed via Steve Kay that Arsenal are prepared to SMASH their transfer record this summer, with Arteta set to be backed heavily in the transfer market.
As always with such a big club, the Arsenal transfer rumour mill is in full swing, with Arteta keen to add to the talent he has already brought to the club.

Arsenal target 'the next Modric'
Arsenal, Chelsea, Man City and Man Utd are interested in signing Dinamo Zagreb wonderkid Martin Baturina.
The young Croatian, who has been dubbed 'the new Luka Modric', was actually linked with a move to join the Balon d'Or winner at Real Madrid last summer but he opted to stay with his current club to continue his development.
Now, with 11 Croatia caps under his belt, he is ready to make the next step in his career, with the aforementioned English giants all keen on bringing him to the Premier League. (TBR Football)
Saliba to leave in 2026?
Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool battle for Huijsen
One of the most in-demand players in the upcoming transfer window will be Dean Huijsen.
The Bournemouth defender has been a revelation with the Cherries in 2024/25 and could move this summer due to a reported €50 million release clause that can be triggered.
Liverpool were thought to be leading the race for Huijsen, but Arsenal and Chelsea are interested, too. The player himself would prefer a move to Real Madrid. (Athletic)
Real Madrid plotting world-record bid for Saliba
Real Madrid will look to make William Saliba the most expensive defender in history this summer with a mammoth bid for the Arsenal star.
At the moment, the costliest defender ever is Josko Gvardiol, who joined Manchester City from RB Leipzig for a fee of around €90 million a couple of seasons ago.
Arsenal, fresh off defeating Real Madrid 3-0 in the Champions League, are bracing themselves for a €100m bid from Los Blancos for their star defender, Saliba. (Fichajes)
Securing the future
Liam Delap release clause to DROP
Half of the Premier League reportedly wants to sign Liam Delap from Ipswich this summer, and he may become available for a cheaper fee that previously thought.
It was initially suggested that, should Ipswich be relegated, Delap would be available for £40 million. However, Jacob Steinberg of the Guardian reports that there is a relegation clause worth around £30m that could see the player leave.
Arsenal, Chelsea, Man Utd, Newcastle and Aston Villa are among the clubs interested.
The six names on Arsenal's striker wishlist
Alexander Isak is Arsenal's number one transfer target this summer.
But, should Newcastle play hardball with their asking price, the Gunners have a healthy list of alternatives.
Top of that list is Viktor Gyokeres, and following him are Benjamin Sesko, Matheus Cunha, Jonathan David and Liam Delap. (i paper)
Huge TWIST in Williams saga
How much would Arda Guler cost?
Arsenal are keen on Arda Guler and will approach Real Madrid about a potential transfer soon.
The Turkish wonderkid is one of the best young talents in world football but the presence of Kylian Mbappe, Rodrygo, Jude Bellingham and Vinicius Junior at Madrid has left him with minimal gametime under Carlo Ancelotti this season.
Guler reportedly wants to leave the Santiago Bernabeu and would cost potential suitors around €30 million. (Fichajes)
Arsenal need to act quick if they want Osimhen
Man Utd will look to strike an early deal for Victor Osimhen and secure his signing before the summer.
The Nigerian is currently on loan at Galatasaray from Napoli after falling out with the club hierarchy in Naples. He'll be a wanted man in the upcoming transfer and has been linked with a number of clubs, but United will soon look to trigger his €75 million release clause. (Taktik Mania)
Arsenal, Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus and Barcelona are also interested.
Agent Rice to help get Rafael Leao
Arsenal are on the lookout for a new left-sided winger this summer and their number one target remains Nico Williams of Athletic Bilbao.
However, should the Spain international move elsewhere, the club has a secondary choice in the form of flying Milan forward Rafael Leao, according to TBR Football.
And, Arsenal have an ace in the hole in their negotiations as Champions League hero Declan Rice is acquainted with Leao after the pair trained together in the summer of 2023, while they have previously exchanged messages on social media.

Mikel Arteta is keen to add more creativity and firepower to his team next season and the Turkey international has been identified as a target.

Does this hint at Williams plans?
No concerns over Saka future
There's no doubt that Bukayo Saka's performances in an Arsenal shirt deserve silverware. Even if the Gunners don't win big trophies soon, it doesn't look like there are concerns over his future.
Speaking ahead of the Champions League clash against Real Madrid, Saka said: "I want to win. I want to win wearing this badge. It's pretty clear. The fans know how much I love them. I think they love me back, I'm really happy to be here."
